Great Big Home and Garden Expo IX Center

Time for a much needed, healthy dose of spring in Ohio. The Great Big Home and Garden Expo comes to the IX Center February 5-13th, 2011. Just when Cleveland is in the middle of our regularly scheduled winter programming, we’re treated with a great line-up of celebrities, home and garden ideas and show stopper displays.

If you’ve thought about changing up the inside of your home, or sprucing up your landscaping, this is a great way to get started!

There will be more than 600 home and garden retailers ready to give you advice and showcase their best trends, decorating tips, building products and more. There will be feature gardens, model homes and lots of other remodeling tips and new ideas to feast upon. If you’re thinking about buying a home or selling a home in Northeast, Ohio, this is the perfect opportunity to get ideas on how to make your new home stand out or your existing home sell for top dollar and have fun while doing it.

There will also be local celebrity designed rooms on display. Cleveland celebrities include, Lee Jordan, Wayne Dawson, Jim Brickman, Jimmy Malone, Roxanne Washington, Nancy Alden, Ramona Robinson, Stefanie Paganini and Jen Toohey.

The home and garden guest, expert and celebrity line-up is:

• February 5-6th – John Gidding, HGTV’s Cutb Appeal: The Block and Designed To Sell
• February 5-6th – Matt Fox and Shari Hiller from Room by Room and Around The House.
• February 8th – Sally Morse the winner of the Window Fashions Industry Icon award and an interior designer since the 1970’s.
• February 11th – Katie Spotz an American adventurer from Mentor, Ohio who became the youngest person at age 22 to row solo across the Atlantic Ocean, departing from Dakar, Senegal on January 3, 2010, and landing in Guyana on March 14, 2010.  She was also the first person to have swum the entire length of the Allegheny River in New York state and Pennsylvania.

• February 12th – Mariel Hemingway
• Appearing on the cooking stage –  Stefanie Paganini Host of Dinner and Drinks on the NEON channel and she has appeared on local television programs including, Studio 3, Cooking with Hollie Strano, Channel 3 Noon News, and Fox 8 News in the Morning. Stefanie is a regular guest on Channel 3’s Good Company.  Stefanie has been featured in articles in both the Plain Dealer and the News Herald.  She is a member of IACP and was a Board Director for Cleveland Independents from 2006-2008. Stefanie has a weekly radio segment called Paganini’s Pantry every Friday on WDOK’s morning show, Trapper Jack in the Morning, and is often a guest co-host. She is an avid world traveler and is fluent in Italian.
